1. Dubrovnik
Know as the Pearl of the Adriatic. This medieval town encircled with massive stone walls completed in the 16th century is listed as Unesco’s World Heritage site and is one of the most popular attractions in Europe. Take a walk along the walls and see the places used as a movie set for Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Robin Hood and many other. Enjoy numerous restaurants, bars and amazing nightlife. Take a cable car or climb the overlooking mount Srd for the best view of the historical old town.
2. Krka National Park
When you say Croatia and waterfalls that is what you have in mind. Spend your day off in this remarkable place swimming under the unique travertine waterfalls and enjoying breathless landscapes. After your nature spa, relax and try local delicacies and the amazing hand pick wine from the nearby vineyards. Just 15 minutes drive from Split city centre visit the ruins of the ancient city of Salona with the Roman amphitheatre. Fortress of Klis used to defend Split from the Ottomans, now best known as a film set for the Game of Thrones is also 15 minutes drive.
