What is the main difference between Party and Adventure Sail Week?

In this blog, we are going to explain the five main things that are different between these two most popular SailWeek routes which are Party route and Adventure route.
1. Route Vibes – The people
PARTY SAILWEEK & ULTRA SAILWEEK CROATIA
It does what it says on the tin. Party SailWeek Croatia and Ultra SailWeek Croatia are created for the younger desirous crowd who love to spend their week partying along the Dalmatian islands, while seeing what the islands have to offer.

ADVENTURE SAILWEEK CROATIA & SAILWEEK GREECE
On the other hand, we’ve got our more Mid pace routes which are Adventure SailWeek Croatia and SailWeek Greece.
Those two are made for people who love to spend their holidays:
- More sailing
- Lots of extra activities
- Nature
- Wine tastings and remarkable local cuisine
This does not mean no partying involved as there are local bars on each island to party but it is better suited for those who also want to spend their days exploring.
2. Itinerary – Highlights
PARTY SAILWEEK CROATIA
Party SailWeek starts from Split, the place where it all began.
It goes around middle Dalmatian islands and then ends back in Split.
You will visit:
- Supetar, opening SailWeek beach party under the stars while getting to know your crew.
- Makarska, ever partied in a cave before? Well, here you can, all night long. If you are brave enough spend your day taking on the famous cliff jump or exploring the beaches.
- Bol, home of the most famous Croatian beach Zlatni rat, where we have our amazing SWC Auro beach party. For the night we take you to the incredible 585 club, one of the best club on the Adriatic coast and a night you will remember for a long time.
- Hvar, Croatia summer party capital. Here you will explore the World famous Carpe Diem beach club. Kick off the evening with a wild sunset party at Hula Hula while the sun sets across the sea before heading to Kiva bar and onto Carpe diem to spend the rest of your night dancing under the stars.
- Palmizana, on busier weeks we have our famous circle raft party. A party like no other and one of the best parties you will ever experience.
- Komiza a quiet fisherman’s town with delicious local cuisine to get them taste buds watering.
- Vis, here we will be taking you to Fort George, an old British military outpost from the war, now one of the best party places of the week.
ADVENTURE SAILWEEK CROATIA
Adventure SailWeek is a two way route where you can choose your starting point whether that’s going to be Split or Dubrovnik. Adventure SailWeek sails all along Dalmatian coast. Both routes are the same just in reverse order.
You will visit:
- Split, 1700 year old capital of Dalmatia. With a Roman palace, amazing nightlife and some of the finest Croatian cuisine.
- Hvar! Can’t do your Croatia sailing without visiting Hvar. Just like on Party and Ultra route, you get to see this gem and its amazing beaches and famous nightclubs.
- Scedro, sail to a beautiful secluded bay tucked away on a remote island. After a beautiful evening dinner spend your night star gazing under the Milky Way.
- Korcula, the medieval walled city and the birthplace of Marco Polo. Get yourself lost in the narrow cobbled streets.
- Mljet National park, with salt lakes and an island on an island, perfect for hiking, MTB riding and kayaking.
- Sipan, an untouched and remote island where you can enjoy the remarkable local cuisine.
- Dubrovnik, The famous and beautiful medieval walled city used as a set for The Game of Thrones. So much history and architectural beauty.
SAILWEEK GREECE
SailWeek Greece is our brand new gem starting in July 2018. The vibe of this route is similar to the Adventure route in Croatia. It starts in Athens and goes hopping around Argosaronic islands.
You will visit:
- Athens! What to say about this ancient world capital. One of the most famous cities in the world known for its history. You all know about Acropolis, one of the seven wonders of the world. Take a short bus ride and visit the old town and explore what Athens nightlife has to offer including clubs, bars and restaurants
- Aegina, the former Greek capital, famous for its pistachio farms, restaurants and stylish bars. Explore the backstreets and pick up some delicious nuts.
- Hydra, the pearl of Argosaronic. This picture perfect town has so much to offer. You can explore the walls and backstreets of this beautiful old town. Climb the hill top for a spectacular view over the port and along the stunning coastline. Take a donkey ride and enjoy the most beautiful sunset in Hydronetta bar. If it was good for Leonard Cohen it’s good enough for you.
- Dokos, A perfect day to relax, sunbathe, dive and paddle board. Spend your night dancing and socialising under the stars while your skipper prepares special skipper’s beach bbq. Time to bring out the guitar if you are brave enough.
- Spetses, the perfect island for exploring. Hire a scooter or quad and see what the island has to offer with its numerous beaches and stunning landscape and viewpoints.
- Ermioni, get yourself lost in the maze of small streets and cobbled paths. In the night enjoy picturesque bars, restaurants and nightclubs as the sun sets over the ocean.
- Poros, most famous for its fisherman and delectable fresh fish everyday. Enjoy sandy beaches, water sports and eat at local tavernas. Take your time to watch the fisherman return from sea with their daily catches.
The Itinerary is standard but it may be changed due to weather and sea conditions.

4. Number of boats
PARTY & ULTRA SAILWEEK CROATIA
On these “weeks” we go wild. Party route is our most popular route and in the high season the number of boats goes up to 30 per week. Ultra SailWeek is our wild child with more than 50 boats each week.

These two are Mid pace routes and are limited to fewer number of boats. Perfect mixture of socialising and relaxation while exploring what these beautiful countries have to offer.

5. The Yachts
STANDARD SAILWEEK YACHTS
Standard yachts are classic cruisers that accommodate 8 to 10 people in shared cabins or bunk beds. Standard yachts are launched from 2002 up to 2010. They are spacious with big saloons and sundecks and offer all the comforts you could expect. All the boats are equipped with stoves, fridges and freezers so you do not need to worry about your beer not being cold enough.

- Cabins: 4-5 (3 double bed & 1-2 cabin with 2 bunk beds)
- Toilets/Showers: 2 to 4
On Party and Ultra sail weeks you can choose, whether you want to book a spot on a Standard or Premium model yacht. This also applies for the full yacht bookings.
PREMIUM SAILWEEK YACHTS
Premium yachts are all built between 2011 up to 2018. They are for those who want to be cut above the rest and provide maximum luxury and space for your dream holiday. They are newer versions with more modern design and more amenities including fridges on the deck tables.
- Year of built: 2011-2018
- Each yacht fits between 8-10 people plus the skipper
- Cabins: 4-5 (3 double bed & 1-2 cabin with 2 bunk beds)
- Toilets/Showers: 2 to 4
- Bigger stern swimming platforms
